The town of Binnacle is built of the claimed ships and hulls of the vessels that have crossed the Compass Rose guild. The wooden masses are piled into a roughly-cone-shaped tower, some 300 feet in diameter and over 200 feet high. The hulls are interwoven with bridges, walkways, stairs, and platforms.
As a ‘town’, Binnacle is a chaotic mix of small rooms, meeting chambers, food galleys, suppliers, and limited rooms for rent; every such space has been claimed from a variety of ships’ chambers. To those unfamiliar, Binnacle is a veritable maze of ships’ rooms, wooden passages, and bridges.
Much of the Compass Rose guild‘s administrative business takes place here. It is rumored that the ’core’ of the structure has more-secure rooms and chambers for guild use.
